Academics

A Great Hearts education prepares students to be more than just proficient test takers, but rather, to become great-hearted leaders capable of success throughout higher education and professional careers. We emphasize that in order for students to become great-hearted leaders they must share in a knowledge that is rooted in the classical liberal arts tradition.

Great Hearts Reading Lists

Great Hearts Reading Lists

Virtues come to life with our lower school reading lists. In middle school, students embrace full-length narratives, short stories, and poetry from some of the most eloquent writers from history. Scholars in high school study the Great Books, Historical Works, and Short Stories. The reading list at the high school level contains some of the greatest books ever written.
